  • WEEKS 1-4

    La Bella Fleur EmpowerHer Patient Education Program is designed to enhance pregnancy-related patient education and engagement. Each Week Focuses on educating Patients. Weeks 1 and 2 involves: Introduction to Pregnancy Education & Engagement and Early Pregnancy: Expectations and First Trimester Education. Topics Include; The Role of Patient Education in Pregnancy, Building rapport and Trust, Activities, Discussion of Key engagement, and reflecting on personal communication styles. Weeks 3 and 4 topics are: Nutrition and Lifestyle for a Healthy Pregnancy and Understanding Pregnancy-Related Discomforts & When to Seek Help.

  • WEEKS 5-8

    In Weeks 5-8 the EmpowerHer Patient Education focuses on topics: Educating patients on the physical and emotional changes in the second trimester and fetal development milestones, Mental Health During Pregnancy, Preparing for Labor, Third Trimester: Final Preparations for Birth & Postpartum. Weeks 5 and 6 include topics such as: Fetal growth and development during the second trimester, screening tests, the impact of hormones on mood and mental health and much more. Weeks 7 and 8 entails: Birth plan options and how to communicate preferences with the healthcare team, understanding labor stages, pain relief options and much more.

  • WEEKS 9-12

    In Weeks 9-12 the EmpowerHer Patient Education focuses on topics such as: Birth Support: Roles of the Partner, Family, Doula, Postpartum Care, Breastfeeding Education and Support, and Planning for the Future: Contraception, Family Planning, and Ongoing Health. Weeks 9 and 10 include topics such as: The role of the partner, family members, and doulas as well as Physical recovery after childbirth, infant care basics, and Postpartum depression and Mental Health support. Weeks 11 and 12 include topics such as: Benefits of breastfeeding, Correct breastfeeding techniques, Contraceptive Options, and Planning for future Pregnancies.
