EmpowerHer MD Education Program

  • WEEK 1-4

    EmpowerHer MD Programs is designed to educate our Providers on Clinical Excellence, Cultural Competency, Patient Advocacy, and Interdisciplinary Collaboration. Weeks 1-2 focus on Maternal Health Disparities, Bias in Healthcare, and Social Determinants of Health. Weeks 3-4 focus on Common Pregnancy Complications, Hypertension, Diabetes, and Preeclampsia Management, and Improving Access to Care.

  • WEEK 5-8

    In Weeks 5-8 the EmpowerHer MD Programs focus on: Communication and Patient Advocacy, and Integrative and Holistic Approaches. Weeks 5-6 will focus on Building Trust with Patients and Families, Effective Communication Techniques, and Advocating for Patients. Weeks 7-8 the Providers with focus on Supporting Traditional and Cultural Birthing Practices, Incorporating Doulas and Midwives, Mental Health and Postpartum Care.

  • WEEK 9-12

    In Weeks 9-12 the EmpowerHer MD Programs focus on: Emergency Preparedness, Community Engagement and Leadership. Weeks 9-10 focuses on: Managing Obstetric Emergencies, Developing Transfer Plans and Collaboration with Health Facilities, Crisis Communication. Weeks 11-12 focus on: Partnering with Community Organizations, Health Education, Outreach Programs, and Becoming a Leader in Maternal Health.

  • Extended Training for New MD, Midwives, PA, and NP's

    La Bella Fleur has extended training for all New Graduated MD’s, Midwives, PA’s, and NP’s. This training is 13-18 of Advanced Training and topics. The topics that will be covered are: Research in Maternal Health Disparities, Advancing Surgical Techniques for Obstetricians, and Training Future Generations of Healthcare Providers.
